My PHILOSOPHY

I believe that every patient deserves the best that I can offer and I will ensure that this attitude is a core belief of every therapist at Creekside Physio. We will do our utmost to ensure the best treatment possible for you and we will do it as quickly as we can reduce costs for you. To this end all therapists here will be required to have the highest skill level by ongoing education and training.

My APPROACH

I believe that you should be treated as a person and not a statistic and while research evidence is important the bottom line is that it is a statistical analysis that deals with averages of populations and not with individuals. Our therapists are informed by research but are not driven by it. Experience, logic a thorough knowledge of anatomy and pathology are at least as important as research and they will see which form of evidence is most suited to your particular needs and treat you with the best available evidence practice. You will be treated as a person not a statistic.

In short as no two people are exactly alike neither are their problems so any treatment plan will be individualized for you to effectively and efficiently deal with your problem.

PROCESS

When you come in for the first time:

  1. You will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire with your personal information that is pertinent to your treatment
  2. The office staff will discuss payment options that are avaialbe to you
  3. You will undergo a complete and extensive examination by your therapist
  4. Your therapist will discuss the results of the assessment with you and what treatment options would best fill your needs based on best available evidence and your wishes and values

Treatments will be changed appropriately as your condition improves and if we are unable to help you we will tell you that as soon as we know. At discharge you will receive a written summary of your diagnosis, treatment, advice on work and sports, exercises and suggestions as to prevention. You will also receive a detailed written description of your exercise program and an internet link and/or USB containing video of the exercises.

With your permission your therapist will contact your physician should the need arise and will send her/him a final report when you and your therapist feel you are ready for discharge. Otherwise we will never discuss your specific case with anybody not directly involved in your treatment.
